Muleflock produces commercial "Mule" ewes for the efficient production of forage based market lambs. By exploiting the forage conversion genetics of Clun Forest ewes, and capturing the maternal genetics of the Bluefaced Leicester, the Mule ewe inherits the vigor, hardiness, and forage conversion capabilities of their Hill dam with the additional benefit of increased size, prolificacy, milk production, and early maturity; characteristic of their BFL sire.

We had exceptionally favorable weather conditions for pasture based food production systems here in West Michigan this year, after several years of reduced rainfall. Along with the lush pastures comes parasite problems. At muleflock, genetic selection for parasite resistance along with carefully timed pasture rotation allows for the production of wholesome market lambs with little or no use of chemical wormers. With that, this years forage based market lambs are robust, healthy and ready for market. Contact me at muleflock@aol.com for more details and reserve your grassfed freezer lamb today.
At Muleflock, we have been developing terminal sires for forage based market lamb systems. To begin the project, New Zeeland based Suffolk ewes were artificially inseminated with imported semen from two different UK Sire Reference Scheme Suffolk rams. The progeny are now being evaluated for structure and weight gain with minimal grain input. One F1 ram lamb is available.UK SIRED SUFFOLK LAMBS GRAZING THE FRONT YARD
